Safeguarding – Everyone’s Responsibility

Safeguarding children is everyone’s responsibility. In line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (Early years foundation stage (EYFS) statutory framework - GOV.UK) statutory framework, all early years providers must take all necessary steps to keep children safe and promote their welfare.

If you are worried about a child living in Nottingham City:

·       Visit the Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Partnership (NCSCP) NCSCP Website for guidance and local safeguarding information

·       Make a referral; through the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Children Hub (MASH) Multi Agency Safeguarding Children Hub (MASH) - Nottingham City Council

·       Use the Interim Continuum of Need NCSCP to help identify the appropriate level of the support or protection required

·       Visit Nottingham City Prevent Duty for Further information and link to the  referral form or complete Refer someone to the Prevent Team | Nottinghamshire Police

·       Visit Nottingham City LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer) website if the matter is about an adult in a position of trust, to complete the online referral by  visiting LADO - Nottingham City Council

The Multi Agency Safeguarding (Children) Hub (City MASH) is the single point of contact for all professionals to report safeguarding concerns and receives referrals in respect of children where there are worries about their welfare. 

The Multi Agency Referral Form (MARF) has been developed for professionals to use when making a referral to City MASH. To make a referral visit Multi Agency Safeguarding Children Hub (MASH) - Nottingham City Council
