Barkla Close is a residential home service offering short breaks for up to 3 adults with learning disabilities. Conveniently located in Clifton, providing three bedrooms with a shared wet room and changing area.
Our aim is to provide individuals with short breaks that closely aligns with how they would ordinarily live their lives, whilst also offering opportunities to access the community for leisure and social pursuits.
We will identify and support an individual’s healthcare needs through collaboration with the individual, their meaningful contacts, and health and social care professionals.
We provide person centred support and care, operating 24 hrs of the day, 7 days a week and each bedroom and the wet room has overhead hoisting facilities.
Upon admission, we will create a detailed file in consultation with you and/or your representative, including a Care Plan outlining the placement's aims, objectives, and your individual needs. We aim to support you to be as independent as possible while maintaining privacy, dignity, and respect, ensuring you can make your own choices. Support will be provided after full consultation and assessment of your care needs.
Both male and female staff work at Barkla Close, and while we strive to accommodate gender preferences, this may not always be possible, especially when two staff are needed for personal care. Please discuss this with us to ensure dignity is maintained.
