Commissioners appointed |

The Government has announced that Commissioners are to be appointed for Nottingham City Council.  For further information, the council’s response and FAQs can be read here.

To be included please register your details on the Greater Nottingham Consultation Database webpage

We are working with other councils in Greater Nottingham (Broxtowe, Erewash, Gedling and Rushcliffe) to review the Aligned Core Strategy (Part 1 of the Local Plan).  To enable us to undertake consultations on the Local Plan we are setting up a joint consultation database with other Greater Nottingham councils to allow us to carry out joint consultations on Greater Nottingham planning policy documents. In addition, we will still continue to undertake Nottingham City Council specific planning document consultations as well.

You are invited to join the Greater Nottingham Consultation Database so that you receive mailouts relating to both Greater Nottingham planning documents and Nottingham City Council specific planning documents. Your personal contact details will be included on the Greater Nottingham Consultation Database as set out below. Any consultation comments you wish to make on Greater Nottingham planning policy documents will be stored on the Greater Nottingham consultation database but comments relating solely to Nottingham City Council specific planning documents will be stored separately by Nottingham City Council in accordance with Nottingham City Council’s Privacy Notice.

Please note that this does not apply to statutory consultees who will continue to be consulted in accordance with planning regulations.

We have set up a Greater Nottingham joint consultation database.  We will use your contact details as follows:-

  1. To inform you when there is an update to any planning policy document prepared by the Greater Nottingham Councils. Your personal information including your name, postal address, email address and any comments you make on Greater Nottingham planning documents will be visible to officers on a Joint Consultation Database that is accessible by Gedling, Erewash, Broxtowe and Rushcliffe councils and will be bound by a data sharing agreement to ensure lawful sharing of data. Further details are provided in the Greater Nottingham Privacy Notice.
  1. To inform you when there is an update to any planning policy document prepared by Nottingham City Council, including any emerging neighbourhood plan. Your personal information including your name, postal address and email address will be visible to officers on the Greater Nottingham Consultation Database but consultation responses on Nottingham City Council specific planning documents will only be visible to officers if personal details have been redacted or there is a legal reason to do so. Further details are provided in the Nottingham City Council Privacy Notice referenced above.
  1. Your personal data will not be used by Nottingham City Council for any other purpose unless there is a legal obligation to do so and will not be shared with third parties, apart from designated bodies (such as Neighbourhood Forums) for the preparation of neighbourhood plans.

Please note that in the future, we would like to use email to communicate information about planning document consultations and avoid postal mail outs to save costs and improve our services. We will, therefore, require you to provide us with a valid email address that you would like us to use for all future consultations.

You may have received similar correspondence from one of the other Greater Nottingham councils because you are also in their existing database(s). Please note, you will need to respond to each Council separately as you are confirming your agreement to each Council using your contact details for their own consultations as well as joint consultations.
