Book a Building Control inspection

Use this service to book a building control inspection for works within the Nottingham City boundary. 

You should request an inspection before 3.00pm the day before your preferred date. 

We aim to attend the next working day but this is not guaranteed. 

We cannot offer same‑day inspections. 

If the number of site visits exceeds the initial fee paid with your application, supplementary fees may be applicable.

To complete this service you will need.

You’ll need:

  • your application reference number
  • the site address
  • the type of inspection you need
  • your contact details
  • the preferred date of inspection

What happens next

After you submit your request:

  • we’ll check your preferred date
  • a building control surveyor will be assigned
  • you’ll receive confirmation by email or phone if needed
  • the surveyor will visit the site on the agreed date

If we cannot attend on the date you requested, we’ll offer the next available appointment.

Fees

Inspection costs are included in the fee you pay when you submit your building control application.

There is no separate charge for booking individual inspections.
