We want Nottingham to be a flourishing, inclusive and sustainable city where residents thrive. We are working to build a renewed council that strengthens its foundations and becomes a national leader in financial responsibility, innovation and community wellbeing. Our priority is to create a safe, resilient and well connected city where opportunity and prosperity are accessible to all.

A key element of our strategy is being open and transparent about how we make decisions and use public resources. Being clear about our choices - and the evidence behind them - helps ensure accountability and allows our citizens and our service users to understand our progress.

We are committed to being a council that delivers for local people and helps move Nottingham forward. By empowering neighbourhoods, supporting local businesses, driving economic growth and championing fairness, we aim to build a vibrant city that honours its heritage while embracing new possibilities through strong partnership and shared ambition.

The performance dashboard provides a general overview of key council data to help residents, partners and other audiences understand local activity, demands and outputs. The information is updated on a quarterly basis, but like any operational dataset, it can change over time as reporting methods, definitions or processes are improved. The figures are intended to support transparency and give a broad sense of trends, rather than act as a full operational record.

When using the dashboard, it’s important to consider the wider context. Council services operate in a challenging environment shaped by national pressures, rising demand, workforce constraints and financial limitations. These factors can influence local performance, and trends are usually more informative than single data points. It should also be noted that data may differ from that published by other councils, as local processes and reporting systems are not always directly comparable.
