Community Events and Activities Grant

Background

Nottingham City Council has allocated funding from the Levelling Up Grant to enhance the capacity of local voluntary and community organisations to deliver more inclusive, frequent, and high-quality community engagement and support activities.  

This grant provides capital funding to support community engagement and support events across Bulwell and Bulwell Forest wards. Funding is available to enable small-scale improvements, equipment purchases, and activity infrastructure allowing organisations to deliver more or improved community activities.

Grant Amount

The funding available to organisations through this grant is capital funding.

• The maximum amount available per project application is £14,999
• The minimum amount available per project application is £5,000

Eligible Projects 

We are looking to fund initiatives that, for example, will: 

• Increase the number of people engaging in community events and activities
• Celebrate the heritage of Bulwell
• Encourage people to engage in creative activities
• Promote and celebrate the area’s diverse cultures 
• Encourage community cohesion
• Engage the most vulnerable in the community and those who feel excluded or isolated
• Increase the use of community facilities and amenities
• Create local volunteering opportunities
