Nottingham City Council has a legal duty to have an allocations policy. The allocations policy aims to address the housing need in the city and contribute to the development of sustainable neighbourhoods.
It is also a requirement of the Council to make the most effective use of its housing stock i.e. providing housing to those in need.
The Allocations Policy ensures it reflects the Homelessness Reduction Act and meets the requirements of Nottingham citizens.
If you are threatened with homelessness you should contact Housing Aid at Nottingham City Council for advice. Alternatively, you can contact the Nottingham HomeLink team for general housing advice.
