A Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a planning charge, introduced by the Planning Act 2008 as a tool for local authorities in to help deliver infrastructure to support the development of their area.

Nottingham City Council does not currently have in place a CIL. Should the Council decide to introduce CIL, consultation on the level of CIL to be charged will take place with interested parties consulted prior to Public Examination.

Further information on CIL can be found on the Planning Portal.
