Submit an Initial Notice Notification to Building Control

Use this online service to submit an Initial Notice and the required supporting documents to Nottingham City Council. All Initial Notices must be submitted online — we do not accept notifications by email or post.

Before you start

You must upload:

• an Initial Notice
• an Ordnance Survey (OS) map that clearly identifies the building

We cannot accept or process your submission without the OS map.

What happens next

Once you submit your Initial Notice, we will:

• review your documents
• acknowledge your submission within 5 working days

If any required information is missing, we will contact you and the notice may be rejected.
