Have your say on proposed changes to Council Tax Support |

Nottingham City Council is consulting on future options for its Council Tax Support scheme which helps households on low incomes with their Council Tax bill.

About our Organisation

We are a registered charity that delivers evidence-based programmes and training to support vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in our local communities and the professionals that support them.

The foundation of our work is emotional education and all of our activity promotes emotional literacy, emotional resilience and emotional intelligence. We transform lives by helping people to see that they can take control of their reactions by using emotional literacy and by becoming emotionally resilient. We believe that everyone deserves to be given the opportunity to reach their full potential.

About our UKSPF project

We run small monthly programmes to give people the best support available. We keep our group sizes small to offer personalised support.

Our programme supports unemployed and economically inactive participants, with a focus on vulnerable young people and adults who live in very disadvantaged areas and have learning disabilities or mental ill health that have resulted in them being inactive in the labour market.

Each month we run a course over 2 weeks followed by weekly drop in sessions.

We will work with people on what they want to achieve for their future. Whether it’s developing their social skills, employability skills, motivation and ambition. Alongside our training and drop in sessions we will provide support to accessing volunteering and work placements.

The areas we will be working in will be the City Centre, Bulwell, Bulwell Forest, Bestwood, Aspley, Basford, Bilborough, Hyson Green, Radford, Dales, Meadows and Clifton.
