About our UKSPF project

The Nottingham Accelerator is a place-based business growth initiative designed to help local companies accelerate innovation, productivity, and sustainability. Running for 12 months, the programme delivers targeted support through two key strands:

Digital & AI

Empowering businesses to embrace the future of technology.

  • Expert-led workshops and specialist advice 
  • Bespoke consultancy and training 
  • Support to adopt AI platforms and digital tools 

Sustainability

Helping businesses transition to a greener, more resilient future

  • Green business skills workshops and tailored advice 
  • On-site energy audits 
  • Strategic planning for carbon reduction and net zero goals 

Tailored Support from Local Experts

At the heart of the Accelerator are two dedicated specialists:

  • Digital Transformation Specialist 
  • Manufacturing Adviser

These experts provide personalised account management, helping businesses identify their unique challenges and opportunities. Each business receives a Business Diagnostic Action Plan to guide their growth journey.

Building a Stronger Business Ecosystem

The Nottingham Accelerator strengthens the local entrepreneurial ecosystem by assessing businesses’ readiness to access wider regional and national support including grant funding. It connects directly with:

  • EMCCA High Growth Programme
  • EMCCA Export Programme
  • Innovate UK Business Growth 
  • East Midlands Made Smarter 
  • Help to Grow: Management Programme
