About our Organisation

We are a Nottingham based CIO that promotes social cohesion and empowers marginalised communities through culturally tailored skilling, employment, health and wellbeing, and creative programmes. We engage diverse ethnic groups, isolated older people, and at-risk youths, with a focus on inclusion and accessibility. We have over 12 years’ experience in supporting BAME and migrants communities in Nottingham.

Summary of events and activities to be delivered 

Community engagement programme titled: Unity in Diversity 

From August 2025 to March 2026

Target audience: All city residents, particularly marginalised groups including refugees, minority ethnic communities, and families

Aim:
Fostering social cohesion, increasing participation, and celebrating Nottingham’s rich cultural heritage through:

  1. Cultural Bridges Community Festivals in October 2025 and March 2026 at Hyson Green and Marcus Garvey Centre (Waiting to confirm reopening) featuring performances, storytelling, food, and cultural exhibitions from Nottingham’s diverse communities reaching 300+ residents 
  2. Creative Futures Workshops from November 2025 to March 2026, we will run 20 weekly workshops combining arts, crafts, and intergenerational storytelling, held at our Lenton hub and satellite venues in underserved neighbourhoods reaching 25 participants per session, totalling 500+ engagements.
  3. My Nottingham, My Story, Oral History Project: An intergenerational digital storytelling initiative will invite older residents and younger participants to co-create short media pieces celebrating their personal and cultural histories from September 2025 to February 2026 reaching 96+ users.
  4. Community Action Days & Volunteering Programme through monthly action days to recruit and train 50+ community volunteers from diverse backgrounds reaching 200+ participants and 50 volunteers engaged.
