About our UKSPF project

Belongs Pathway to Inclusion and employment is a tailored programme supporting economically inactive refugees, migrants, and other priority groups across Nottingham. The three-stage programme ( Back on track, Removing Barriers and Career Management and Journey 2Voulnteering/Work ready) offers holistic support to help participants overcome personal, cultural, and systemic barriers to employment.

Support includes personalised learning plans, ESOL, digital and numeracy training, welfare and housing advice, career coaching, employability workshops, structured volunteering, and work placements. Bilingual outreach and culturally sensitive delivery ensure inclusivity, particularly for those with language needs.

The programme targets refugees, migrants, women, NEET young adults (18–24), people aged 50+, individuals with long-term health conditions, LGBT+ individuals, and ethnic minority communities. Tailored activities—such as women-only sessions, youth mentoring, senior digital literacy, and inclusive employment coaching—ensure each group’s needs are met.

Delivery will take place in key Nottingham wards: Radford, Sneinton, Forest Fields, St Ann’s, and the City Centre. Local venues will host accessible, well-resourced sessions in trusted community spaces.
By removing barriers and empowering participants, Belong will improve employability, boost confidence, and support lasting transitions into employment, inclusion, and independence.
