Nursing in a social care setting is recognised as increasingly challenging in today’s world. Resilience-based Clinical Supervision (RBCS) is a way of supporting you and your team by recognising your own and other’s emotions and how you can positively respond to them. The Foundation of Nursing Studies (FoNS) is delighted to offer a programme that will enable nurses and nurse associates to experience RBCS with a view to becoming facilitators.  RBCS is a tried and trusted model experienced by hundreds of nurses across the country and beyond. The model’s rationale is to increase an individual’s ability to respond positively to the emotional and physiological demands of their role.

Skills for Care has launched the first-ever placement strategy for social care nursing, marking a major step in recognising social care as a valued part of nursing education. The strategy, developed in collaboration with the Council of Deans of Health, aims to create stronger connections between students, higher education institutions and care providers to offer high-quality placement opportunities in social care settings by providing building blocks and top tips. This will provide a broader perspective on care and attract them to work in the sector when qualified.

You can find the strategy here - Strategy to enable social care placements for student nurses and nursing associates
