Supporting Early Speech and Language Development

Our Early Years team works in partnership with Specialist Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) services to provide clear, accessible support for professionals working with children’s speech, language and communication needs.

Together, we use the Balance System pathways to offer free SLT guidance and resources, helping practitioners understand concerns and find the right next steps.

We also promote key Public Health Messages around early speech and language development, ensuring families and professionals receive consistent, evidence‑informed information to help children thrive.
