Practising what we teach! Would you reach the expected level of development as an adult?

Course Length: 1 x 3-hour session

Course Leaders: Head of Service, Early Years and Early Years Programmes Manager

Audience: Specifically for PVI Sector Managers & Leaders (including Childminders) with supervisory, mentoring or coaching roles of other staff in their setting.

Course Overview:  All day, every day, we promote high quality teaching and learning across the seven areas of learning under the EYFS, but do these teachings end with our children?

In a new, one-off session, Senior Managers from the Early Years Team will utilise the teaching principles of our daily practice to help Managers and Leaders explore and reflect how these can be applied to ourselves and support the mentoring and supervising of those we manage.

Specifically utilising the Early Learning Goal of Personal, Social and Emotional Development, which teaches children about self-regulation, managing self and building relationships, we will look at how we do this for ourselves and for our staff.

Come with an open mind, ready to reflect on current practice as Managers and Leaders and take away ideas on how to better support yourself and those you manage.
