Developing Early Number Sense 3-4 Years
Course Length: 3 hours
Course Leaders: EYFS Teaching and Learning Specialists
Audience: Specifically for Practitioners working with 3-4 year olds in Pre-Schools in the PVI Sector or Nursery / F1 in Schools.
Course Overview: The session will enable you to develop your understanding of early number sense and help you consider the many ways to teach maths within your setting. It will enable you to reflect on how your learning environment engages children and builds practitioner confidence and knowledge to support purposeful mathematical interactions and learning. The session is designed to be interactive and practical to provide ideas and resources which can be taken back and used directly with the children.
Course Aims:
- Develop practitioners’ understanding of Early Number Sense
- Understand how to develop a mathematically engaging environment
