Biographical details 

Zafran Khan was born and raised in Nottingham and was elected to the Council in 2019. 

Zafran’s key areas of interest are environment, health and ensuring the City is clean and green. He is proud of the City’s ambitious target of becoming Carbon Neutral by 2028. Zafran has been a volunteer at Wollaton Youth Club and enjoys participating at Wollaton Hall Parkrun on Saturdays. His other passions include supporting Wollaton Football Club and Wollaton Cricket Club. 

Since 2019 he has completed many pieces of casework for local residents. Zafran helped set up the Wollaton Hall Parkrun, ensured that Wollaton Park has its own community litter picking once a month and consistently works with the Wollaton Local Nature Reserve group. He is also a member of the Friends of Wollaton Park.
