EYFSP Initial Data Briefing

Briefing Length: 75 minutes

Course Leaders: EYFS Teaching and Learning Specialists 

Audience: Specifically for Nottingham City School Leaders, Reception and Year One Class Teachers and Subject or Phase Leaders

Course Overview: This initial briefing session will share key data messages from the 2024/2025 EYFSP data.  School Leaders, Reception and Year One Class Teachers are invited to join the session collectively, along with any other Subject or Phase Leaders, to compare school and local data.

The session will provide opportunities for professional dialogue between Reception and Year One colleagues, providing time to interpret and better understand school cohort data and enable staff to plan and prepare for a smooth and successful transition, as described in the EYFSP Handbook.  The session will also support Year One colleagues to understand the needs of their September 2025 cohort, so they have the opportunity to consider any support or adaptations necessary, particularly for those children who did not achieve a Good Level of Development.
