Professional Development Programme (PDP3)

The Early Years Professional Development Programme (EYPDP) is part of the DfE’s Early Years Recovery Programme to support early years practitioners to improve their understanding and skills in supporting the development of children between the ages of 2 and 4, particularly those affected by the pandemic, focusing on the key areas of communication and language, early mathematics and PSED.

The EYPDP is now closed to new applicants and expressions of interest are no longer being accepted.

Launched as part of the DfE's Early Years Education Recovery Programme to support the sector by delivering high quality CPD to up to 10,000 early years practitioners in England, the EYPDP will welcome the 4th and final cohort of practitioners in April 2024.

If you are undertaking this training as part of an accepted EYPDP cohort, you can continue to find information on https://www.earlyyearspdp.com/ and the Early Years Team will keep in contact regarding funding payments for staff time to participate in the training.
