Home Leisure and Culture Libraries Arts and Literature events online

Welcome to our new events venture.

Libraries have always run fantastic events for culture lovers, so over the coming months we'll be putting on a selection of video events. Talks, interviews, performances and exhibitions created specifically for Nottingham City Libraries.

Novels That Changed our World

Nottingham has been selected by the BBC and Libraries Connected to run a series of workshops on the theme of: Politics, Power & Protest- stories about the ideas, people and power struggles that shaped our world.

These brilliant workshops aim to inspire audiences to talk about the power of the novel to touch us profoundly, to open our eyes to injustices – and sometimes even act as a catalyst for social change.
