Home Leisure and Culture Libraries The Library for Under 5s Nottingham Children’s Book Award 2020

Children's Book Award

We're back with three more fantastic stories to choose from, which will you vote for?

Library staff and local children have helped to shortlist this year’s contenders and here they are... I am a Tiger by Karl Newson and Ross Collins, This is Gus by Chris Chatterton and This is Owl by Libby Walden and Jacqui Lee

I am a Tiger This is Gus This is Owl

We've made a story time video of each book, if you are sitting comfortably then press play, watch all three and then we need your votes!

Now you've watched them all vote for your favourite one by clicking on the button below. Last year we received over 4500 votes and we’d like to beat that total in 2020. Make it the greatest year yet by helping us to decide which is the best new children’s book of the last year!

Voting closes Saturday 5 December and the winner will be announced on Friday 12 December 2020.

2020 is the 19th year we've been running the Nottingham Children’s Book Award. For Under 5s across the city, it aims to foster a love of books and reading as library staff and families read three stories and children vote for their favourite.
