Coronavirus | Please be aware that due to the current outbreak of COVID-19, the School Admissions Team are currently working remotely and so have limited resources. We are working to the best of our abilities to continuously provide a good level of service, however we have a reduced telephone service, operating from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm Monday to Wednesday only. Our reception service will not be available for the foreseeable future. We would appreciate your patience and understanding during this time, and we recognise that our service is of high importance to you. We are also contactable via email and if your email requires a response, we will reply as soon as we can.

Changing Schools

If you have moved address, just arrived in Nottingham, or if you want your child to change schools, you can use this page to apply online.

We aim to process applications within 4 weeks of being received. However, when dealing with high volumes of applications, allocating school places can take longer especially in areas where there are very few in-year vacancies. During school holidays decisions can be delayed due to schools being closed.

Pupils moving into the Nottingham Area

Do not apply for a Nottingham City school place too early. We aim to process applications within 4 weeks and, if your child is offered a school place, we give schools 10 school days to admit the child. Therefore, you should apply to a school place no earlier than approximately 7 school weeks before when the school place is required.

Applications for children living outside the UK will only be considered once the date of arrival and an address in the UK has been confirmed.
