The Nottinghamshire Safety Education Partnership (NSEP) is a multi-agency group working together to promote safety education to diverse communities.
NSEP aims to prevent avoidable injury and harm through the provision of skills and knowledge. Education is provided through interactive workshops and educational events.

We aim to:

  • Help communities to be more aware of their personal safety and the safety of others
  • Help individuals to react appropriately in dangerous situations
  • Help to contribute to the prevention of crime and help individuals to avoid becoming victims of crime
  • Increase the awareness of the role of the emergency services, utilities and other agencies
  • Increase the understanding of the role of services and how to communicate with them

NSEP can host a Road Traffic Collision (RTC) awareness day. This is a multi-agency event aimed at Sixth Form pupils. During the RTC day, an initial introduction video is shown, with an extraction demonstration.

The pupils then attend 3 workshops run by the fire service, road safety, and the magistrates’ court, which explore the consequences of dangerous driving.

You can arrange an event by contacting the events coordinator at They will need to know some details about the event you would like to have:

  • How many people would be attending?
  • What is the approximate age of the people attending?
  • Does your group have specific needs?
  • Would the event be held indoors or outdoors? Would the event be classroom-based or in a big hall with stalls? Is there a water feature?
  • Is there room for large vehicles e.g. a bus or a fire engine?
