Proposed Admission Arrangements for the 2021 to 2022 School Year
The Local Authority consulted on a proposal to change the 2021 to 2022 admission arrangements for community schools in Nottingham City from those approved for the 2020 to 2021 school year.
These arrangements are for pupils who will be starting school for the first time in the 2021 autumn term, or changing from one school to another between September 2021 and July 2022.
Community schools in Nottingham are the ones which Nottingham City Council is the admission authority for. This means that the Council is responsible for offering or refusing places at these schools.
The consultation has now closed and a summary of the comments received during the consultation period will be included in a report to the Council’s Executive Board in February 2020. The Executive Board will consider the report and determine whether to approve the admission arrangements at that meeting. Details of the determined arrangements will be published on this website in April 2020.
Consultation on proposed admission arrangements for the 2021 to 2022 school year Academies
There are other schools in Nottingham responsible for making their own admission arrangements. For the academies listed below, the governing body is the admissions authority and it must consult on its admission arrangements unless it is exempt from consulting in accordance with paragraph 1.42 of the School Admissions Code which states that where the admission arrangements have not changed from the previous year there is no requirement to consult, subject to the requirement that admission authorities must consult on their admission arrangements at least once every 7 years, even if there have been no changes during that period.
