Nottingham City Council currently has a list of Accredited providers in place to ensure there is sufficient provision for Semi-Independent Living placements in Nottingham and the surrounding areas. This Accreditation is being reviewed and is expected to be replaced in April 2022.

Therefore Nottingham City Council will not be evaluating any further applications for the current Accreditation.

If you are a provider of Semi-Independent Living Services for Children in Care aged 16+ (Accommodation and Support) within the Nottingham City region and wish to become a supplier for Nottingham City Council post-April 2022, details of how to apply for the new contract will be advertised via the East Midlands procurement portal.

The Council has taken a flexible approach to contracting by allowing new organisations to join the Accreditation throughout its duration (to maximise competition and service user choice, while maintaining a high level of quality).

Due to being inundated with applications during 2020, a review of Accredited providers in January 2021 has confirmed that we have sufficient provision in Nottingham and the surrounding areas to meet our need for Semi-Independent Living placements for the foreseeable future.

Therefore we will not be evaluating any further applications until October 2021.  Should demand increase substantially before then the council reserves the right to evaluate applications sooner at its discretion.

If you are a provider of Semi-Independent Living Services for Children in Care aged 16+ (Accommodation and Support) within the Nottingham City region and wish to become an Accredited Provider this page outlines how your organisation can apply for a contract with Nottingham City Council.

This process will be used to develop a list of assessed and approved Providers to deliver services as they are required. The Council will place packages through the Accreditation as its sole contracting mechanism from 1 April 2018 under new terms and conditions.
