Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011

Nottingham City Council introduced a Late Night Levy Scheme which took effect from the 1 November 2014.

The late night levy allows revenue to be raised by charging premises licences holders of licences issued under the Licensing Act 2003 who are authorised to sell alcohol between midnight and 6am.

The proceeds from the late night levy are split 30% City Council income and 70% Police income.

The Council is considering a proposal to  revoke the scheme and this will be considered by full Council on 12 September 2022.

Should you wish to respond to the consultation this can be done by emailing general.licensing@nottinghamcity.gov.uk or in writing to Nottingham City Council, Licensing, Central Police Station, Byron House, Nottingham, NG1 6HS.  The closing date for representations is 3 August 2022
