CONSULTATION ON INTENTION TO DISPOSE OF LAND AND BUILDINGS
A plan of the land and buildings can be viewed by clicking on the below image links:
Intention to dispose
Nottingham City Council intends to make an application to the Secretary of State for Education to request his consent to declare the following site (including the land and building) surplus to requirements and available for sale and change of use. Any change of use will be subject to planning permission and consultation specific to that application.
Any sale of the land and buildings would be subject to formal approval by Nottingham City Council and the Secretary of State.
Reason for Disposal and Sale
Education services at the Hospital Home Education Learning Centre were relocated to Sherwood Children's Centre in February 2019. Since then the building has been vacant and the school now provides education from various other bases in the city. As the building no longer provides a benefit to the citizens of Nottingham, it is surplus to Nottingham City Council’s requirements and therefore it is not financially viable to retain it. Nottingham City Council now intends to apply to the Secretary of State for Education to request his consent to dispose of the land and building.
The Council would like to hear from you if a disposal of the premises would affect you directly or indirectly. We would welcome your views. If you wish to comment on the proposal, you can do so in one of the ways listed below.
