Nottingham City Council has begun the consultation process regarding renewal of the Statement of Gambling Principles 2019-2022
The Gambling Act 2005 requires a Licensing Authority to review its’ Statement of Gambling Policy at least every three years.
The purpose of the Statement is to inform those making and considering applications for licences and other notifications of the Authorities standards and values in promoting the licensing objectives as stated within the legislative framework and Statutory guidance issued by the Home Office.
We welcome the views of its citizens, including views of operators and people involved in the licensed trade together with those persons affected by the industry such as residents. The consultation concentrates legislative and demographic amendments since the last adopted policy in 2016.
