Consultation Details

We want to hear your views on how the operation of coach pick up and drop off points and the Castle Land Train will be managed.

The changes we are proposing to support increased visitor flow and accessibility within the surrounding area are set in the Background Document. Please view the document for full details of the proposals before completing the questionnaire.

We have tried as far as we can take into account the impact on local residents and businesses. However, during this consultation, we want to hear as many views as possible so we can make informed decisions on our proposals.

Update on Consultation

Thank you to all of you that took part in the recent consultation.

We received 217 responses through the online questionnaire as well as a number of emails and letters. We are reading and analysing these over the next couple of weeks.

Once this process is completed we will consider our proposals in light of the consultation responses, update the coach pick up and drop off plans for approval and feedback to residents on next steps.

In the meantime, no physical works will progress in respect of the coach parking drop off and pick up locations on Friar Lane or Peveril Drive.

For your information there are likely to be some remedial works to paving on Castle Road and repairs to underground services on Friar Lane within the next few weeks. These works are not part of the coach parking proposals and have been scheduled for several months.

In the meantime, if you require any further information about the Nottingham Castle Transformation, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the project team at: nottinghamcastleproject@nottinghamcity.gov.uk.
