This is a system to track children's progress and support transition across all EYFS settings and schools in the city of Nottingham and has been updated in line with the revised EYFS.
The system consists of paperwork which provides a summative assessment of the progress of children from 0 - 5 years. It is not compulsory for settings and schools to adopt this paperwork if they already have robust systems based on EYFS. However it is expected that the paperwork which has been developed to support children's transition, Learning and Development Summary, will be used by all settings and schools, so that we have consistency across the city.
Support materials have been developed to ease the implementation of the system. As well as supporting and extending practitioners skills in observing and assessing children's progress.
