Early Years Daily Bulletin Monday 6th July
Transitioning back to Early Years setting - online training - July 16th or 17th
Following feedback from recent SEND online meetings we have worked with colleagues from the Inclusive Education Service (IES) to bring you ‘Transitioning back to Early Years setting’ online training. This session will help to equip staff in nurseries and childminders to reduce the difficult issues lockdown has engendered and will support autistic and SEND pupils return to the setting or on to another setting or school. The course provides some simple practical strategies for staff regarding how to support autistic and SEND children and discusses the potential triggers for stressed and challenging behaviour the pandemic has created.
Dates: Thursday 16th July 4.00pm - 4.45pm OR Friday 17th July 10.00am - 10.45am
Please Note: These sessions must be booked using the link below.
Please see below for information about routine inspection visits taken from Section 8.3
For Ofsted registered early years provision, it is intended that routine inspections will restart from January 2021 - by which time the EYFS is expected to be reinstated fully - with the exact timing of routine inspections being kept under review.
Ofsted will continue with its registration and regulatory work for early years and childcare providers. In the autumn term, inspectors will commence some regulatory activity to providers who have been judged ‘inadequate’ or ‘requires improvement’ and have associated actions to fulfil. Inspectors will look at what progress leaders and managers have made to meet actions set at the last inspection and how they are improving their practice. These visits will not result in a judgement. However, Ofsted will publish a short summary to confirm what it found during the visit.
As always, the full update is included below. There are no specific early years updates contained today.
