Pete Moorhouse: Encouraging Creativity- creative and critical thinking (See Offer! - rescheduled)  This course is designed to develop understanding of what creativity means and explore ways in which we can best encourage creativity. Practitioners will start by defining creativity and critical thinking and then look at the different aspects of children’s thinking that contribute to the process of developing ideas. 

Food Safety  Providers must be confident that those responsible for preparing and handling food are competent to do so. In group provision, all staff involved in the preparing and handling food must receive training in food hygiene.’  Early Years Statutory Framework  On completion of this course you will receive a certificate detailing the course content.

Paediatric First Aid  12 hour course still only £55 for PVCI settings with a further reduction for voluntary organisations, these are held every month, click on the link to see content and dates.

Magical Outdoor Play  This course gives learners the inspiration and ideas they need to make outdoor play at their setting truly magical. EYFS recommendations are for 50% of play at a setting to be outdoors. This course helps settings achieve this through a series of imaginative activities and techniques to maximise the outdoor environment. It is also a fun and inspiring way to give learners the confidence to deliver outdoor play, whatever the weather and give a whole host of new ideas to take back to their settings.

Talking Twos Programme  Only available from Nottingham City Early Years Team, Talking Twos is a unique Early Identification of Speech and Language needs delivered by one of our specialists in your setting.

Leadership Network  Covering different topics each term these Networks will keep you up to date on current Early Years issues, developments or new initiatives as well as providing invaluable networking opportunities. As before participants also have the chance to win a fabulous book in the prize draw at the end of each session.

SENCO Network  These feature specialist guest speakers who provide advice and information on services as well as any partnership activity that you can get involved in. Previous  networks have included guest speakers on Autism,local book initiatives, ADHD, early eye screening and SALT.As before participants also have the chance to win a fabulous book in the prize draw at the end of each session.

Room Leaders Network 0 -3    Room Leaders Network 3 - 5   Valuable opportunities for room leaders to spend time with peers gaining knowledge and good practice tips, up to date information and networking. As before participants also have the chance to win a fabulous book in the prize draw at the end of each session.

Understanding the EYFS Framework  Covering essential key components of EYFS Statutory Framework this introductory course is held over one and a half days with a gap task to complete in between sessions.  Split into three sessions the course covers sections one to three of the framework and provides practitioners with an interactive learning experience supporting a range of learning styles.
