Securing the best outcomes for local communities by making use of all available resources, regardless of whether the services are provided in-house, externally or through various forms of partnership.
Nottingham City Council's Strategy and Commissioning Directorate will deliver a programme of Strategic Commissioning Reviews for adult, children and family social care services which will be undertaken in accordance with the Commissioning Pathway.
The Reviews aim to ensure that we support Nottingham's citizens to achieve their best. We will accomplish this by exploring (where appropriate) fundamentally different approaches and/or radical changes to existing models, whilst making sure that we keep costs to a minimum. The Reviews will consider the whole picture around citizens, rather than just thinking about the services, so that we make the most effective use of existing resources to meet citizens' needs.
Our current key strategic commissioning reviews are listed below. Follow the links underneath each header for detail of the aim and scope of review and current consultation and activity.
- Assistive Technology
- Mental Health Supported Accommodation Pathway Strategic Commissioning Review
- Social Inclusion (Homelessness) Strategic Commissioning Review 2017/18
There are exciting plans in place in the world of technology to help citizens benefit from specialist IT support - and in Nottingham City we are rolling out the Assistive Technology Project for Adult Integrated Care which will bring the telecare system (social care) and telehealth (health services) into one place.
