Our transport system is celebrated nationally and internationally.

On the flip side, Nottingham is not without its challenges - we have a Recovery and Improvement Plan and to help us move forward positively, in response to a recent Non-Statutory Review which identified weaknesses to be addressed, and we have embraced working with an Improvement Board which is offering support and constructive challenge.  We are also one of the most deprived cities, however be in no doubt we are ambitious for our people and ambitious for our place as described in our new Strategic Council Plan.   We are on the cusp of something exciting – a new era for Nottingham.  Our new Corporate Director for Finance and Resources will have a critical role in leading this change.
