More than 30,000 revellers packed the Old Market Square for the city's 'Party on the Square' Live Music Weekend. The free 3 day concert from Nottingham's transformed Square has been the first of its kind for the city centre and was a weekend to remember!
 April 3rd 2007 HRH Princess Anne officially opens the square Princess Anne came to Nottingham to give the square the royal seal of approval, echoing the Prince of Wales' visit in May 1929 to mark the opening of the Council House and earlier square design.

 March 24th 2007 Nottingham's new square opening spectacular The city's world famous outlaw, Robin Hood and his good lady Maid Marian flew across the square - the largest city square in the UK - and fired an arrow to launch a fantastic pyrotechnic display from the historic Council House.
