Park Rangers

The Park Rangers Service is a new team who work with schools, community groups and friends groups to encourage people to enjoy and learn from the city's parks and open spaces. Our service is available to all.

The Ranger Services works with Schools across Nottingham to help develop and educate our young people - our work compliments school programmes and the national curriculum. Sessions generally take place outdoors at one of our parks and are quite active, involving the whole group in hands-on activities. Lessons within the school can be organised but may incur a small charge to cover materials and travel.

For community and friends groups we organise events and activities including healthy walks, heritage walks, rambles, tours of Woodthorpe Tropical House and visits to Green Flag parks. We can also work with you to support your own events.

Throughout the year we present FREE events and activities in local parks across the city. Please visit the events page to see current listings.

Nottingham City Council's Park Ranger Service is committed to life long learning.
