NOTTINGHAM IN BLOOM - MAKING A CLEANER AND GREENER CITY

Nottingham in Bloom is an exciting initiative designed to make the city a cleaner and greener place to live, work and visit. It links local communities, businesses and individuals who work together to produce horticultural excellence and enhance the local landscape, the environment and the character of Nottingham.

Nottingham has an exceptional record, winning the East Midlands in Bloom title 16 times in the past 17 years and taking the Britain in Bloom national award for Best Large City four times - in 1997, 2001, 2003 and most recently in 2007.

The emphasis is on year-round initiatives involving a wide range of partners, community groups, schools and sponsors working together to make a real difference to their own neighbourhood. Each week Nottingham in Bloom receives calls from new groups who are keen to become involved.
