Children’s
Services is the City Council department responsible for services for children and young people in Nottingham,
from birth until the age of 19 (or early 20s for some vulnerable groups). This includes supporting parents
and carers.
The services we provide or commission with partner organisations
fall broadly into four areas:
- Universal services
(e.g. schools and other educational services);
- Targeted/preventative
services (e.g. Youth Services, Children's Centres and the Youth Offending Team);
- Specialist
services (e.g. children’s social care); and
- Commissioning
services (e.g. how we deliver services in partnership with a range of agencies from all sectors).
We
all have a responsibility to Nottingham’s children and young people and we are working collaboratively
to improve their life chances. Find out more by using the menu on the left.
