Western Cycle Corridor
Consultation on the Western Cycle Corridor was held between 7th August 2015 and 4th September 2015. The consultation regarded a new cycle super highway on the Western Cycle Corridor running from the City Centre along Castle Boulevard, over Abbey Bridge, along Abbey Street, connecting to University Boulevard via City Road, which will take the route to the City Boundary at the Broadgate roundabout. Broxtowe Lane Road Safety August 2015
In response to road traffic accidents and concerns raised about speeding vehicles along Broxtowe Lane, Nottingham City Council committed funding to address this matter. People were invited to have their say by downloading the Broxtowe Lane - Road Safety Survey. Consultation ended on the 28th August 2015.
Nottingham's Draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan May 2015
Comments received during the public consultation of the first draft in 2013 and 2014 were incorporated into the new draft plan which was made live for consultation during April and May 2015. Special Engineering Difficulties May 2015
In November 2014, Nottingham City Council consulted on information contained within our Local Street Gazatteer relating to streets with Special Engineering Difficulties. Since the last review, they identified another 17 records which were consulted on to add into our Local Street Gazetteer. Nottingham City's 20mph speed limits 2013 to 2015
Nottingham City Council is aiming to introduce a 20pmh Scheme across the City and all roads (except A and B category roads) were considered for the new 20mph speed limit. As each area was considered a consultation leaflet was sent out informing residents and an event will be held locally where residents can ask questions about the scheme and the processes involved, as well as the reasons behind the scheme. The consultation allowed everyone the opportunity to provide feedback and put forward suggestions of any roads that they would like to see included or excluded.
Eco Expressway/ Eastern Cycle Corridor
The Eco-Expressway is funded through the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire (D2N2) Local Enterprise Partnership who have provided £6.1m for bus priority measures. This is an ambitious proposal to provide high capacity, high frequency east west low emission transport options to existing and proposed employment and regeneration sites along a 10k corridor through Nottingham. The Eco Expressway and Cycle City Ambition Programmes Eastern Cycle Corridor are holding a joint consultation process as the works are affecting the same eastern route out of the city. Consultation begins on the 26th May and will run for 4 weeks ending on the 24th June 2016. Nottingham Permit Scheme - Fee alteration October 2015
In march 2015 The Nottingham Permit Scheme for Road Works and Street Works was introduced following a period of consultation. Following this introduction, the processing of permits is being revised and the City Council are consulting on the proposal to introduce increased permit application fees.
