About Us

What is the Transformation Programme?

In June 2004, as a result of a major review of its leisure facilities, Nottingham City Council embarked on an £18.5 million investment programme to improve its leisure centres.

The programme is well underway. The first phase included a range of repair, maintenance and accessibility works at centres. This will improve the quality of the facilities and enable us to open our doors to more people to take part in the exciting activities on offer.

A number of facilities will also see significant improvement works. Development works have been completed at Portland Leisure Centre, John Carroll Leisure Centre and Ken Martin Leisure Centre.

Combined with the repair and maintenance works, the redevelopment works will provide the City with a network of quality leisure centres for many years to come.

How will the Transformation Programme Affect Me?
