The Place Survey is a questionnaire which will be sent to a sample of the Citizens of Nottingham starting on the 29th September 2008, it consists of 12 pages and should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete. It is available in different languages, Braille and large print.

It will replace the Best Value Performance Indicators survey. In previous years we have run alongside the Government initiative an Annual Residents’ survey to compliment Best Value. With the changing focus from Best Value to Place Survey the need for the supporting Annual Resident’s survey has now ceased. As the aim of the Place Survey is to see how citizens feel about their local area, we can capture their views, experiences and perceptions, in order to help our understanding of how to improve an area with the Citizens views in mind.

The survey is due to be posted out to Citizens by the end of September and will be repeated every two years. This encompasses Local Authorities, Police, Fire Service and Health
