Wollaton Hall

One of the finest Elizabethan houses in England, Wollaton Hall is a Grade 1 Listed building designed by Robert Smythson and built in 1588 by wealthy coal baron Sir Francis Willoughby.

The hall stands on a hill in 500 acres of beautiful parkland in which Red and Fallow Deer roam freely.  When floodlit the hall looks spectacular, especially from the long drive way leading up to the entrance.

We are delighted to offer Wollaton Hall for exclusive hire or parts of Wollaton Hall for a range of events and functions such as:

The Great Hall

A magnificent formal Elizabethan Great Hall,Picture of wollaton Hall interior featuring beautiful stone screen archways and a superb hammer beam ceiling.  It has excellent acoustics making it ideal for musical events.

The Willoughby Room

An elegant first floor room, suitable for a more intimate reception.  It can be used on its own or is an ideal setting for pre-dinner drinks in conjunction with the Great Hall.

Wollaton Hall offers an ideal setting for meetings, seminars or training events.

The Retiring Room
Originally a bedchamber in Sir Francis Willoughby’s personal suite, the Retiring Room has been refurbished and is now a versatile and unique space for a range of activities.

The Salon
The Salon is a beautifully decorated elegant room situated just off the Great Hall.  Its French Window s open out onto the back lawn of Wollaton Hall.  Ideal for pre-reception drinks and wedding photos.


Prospect Room
Situated on the top floor of Wollaton Hall, this magnificent room has panoramic views over Nottingham.  With its stunning architecture, it is the perfect venue for intimate receptions.
