The Play Development Service offers some direct provision of play facilities, and it works to assist and enable existing and potential community groups to meet the need for play opportunities. Where possible, control over each individual project is in the hands of people who are most aware of and in touch with local families, local issues, and the local environment.

The Play Development Service aims to enrich communities and the individuals within them through a community development approach to play provision, thus not only providing a benefit to children, but also benefiting adults involved in local play projects.

•Training (ranging from practical half day arts & crafts courses to 12 week certificated introductory play course, and NVQ level 2 in Play)
