Get involved

Volunteering

Are you interested in getting involved in children's play activities? If you would like to help out as a volunteer at a local playscheme, or After School Club, contact your local Play Development Worker to find out details of suitable clubs in your area.
Don't worry if you have no experience, as training can be organised to suit you.
If you want help with starting up a new club or play activity, contact your local Play Development Worker.

Sessional Playwork

If you are interested in paid playwork with children aged 5-14 years, you could join Nottingham City Council's Sessional Playwork Register. The sessional playworkers are used on a casual basis to cover absent staff at the five City Play centres, but are also used to help play development workers with a variety of activities, which might include street play, fun days, National Playday, helping at new playschemes or after school clubs, etc.

There is an application process for those who are interested, and potential candidates will be offered an interview.
