Return and day tickets

Day tickets are provided by all the major transport operators. Each ticket allows unlimited travel within the Nottingham City Area.

For passengers making journeys that include multi operator journeys for example NET and trentbarton the Kangaroo ticket allows unlimited travel across all modes including rail.

  • CityRider
    • £3.00 – One days unlimited travel on all NCT buses and NET trams within the City Area. Child and Concessionary fares available.

  • Network Rider
    • £6.00 – One days unlimited travel on all NCT buses including South Notts and Pathfinder and NET trams. Child and Concessionary fares available.

  • Zig Zag
    • £4.40 – One days unlimited travel after 0900 in and around Nottingham on Trent Barton buses. Concessionary fares available.

  • Tram Rider
    • £2.70 – One days unlimited travel on all NET tram services. NET Park and Ride is free to park, just hop on and pay the normal tram fare. Child fares available.

Park and Ride Group Return – Citylink 1 buses only.

    • £4.00 per car – Return journey for up to 6 people (any combination of adults and children)

Park and Ride Group Return - Citylink 2 buses only

    • £3.50 per car – Return journey for up to 6 people (any combination of adults and children

NCT, Trent Barton, South Notts, Notts+Derby, Pathfinder, Stagecoach East Midlands, Arriva Midlands and Reliance.

Also Nottinghamshire, Nottingham City and Leicestershire Council contracted buses coming into or around Nottingham - all Dunnline, Paul Winson, Paul James, Doyles and Premiere Travel contracts.

Train – all services on East Midlands trains and Cross Country trains within the boundary, valid at/from Beeston, Bulwell, Carlton, Netherfield and Nottingham

Where can a Kangaroo be used?
There are detailed maps to show this area but in general it follows the boundary of the ‘built up area of Greater Nottingham’ – so it covers areas such as Beeston, Chilwell, Wollaton, Bulwell, Arnold, Carlton, West Bridgford and Ruddington. Boundary points on main routes into Nottingham:

What services can’t I use with a Kangaroo?
It can’t be used on Night buses and dedicated school buses, initially it will be for adult day travel

Where do I buy a Kangaroo?
You can buy one at the beginning of your jouney  -  on any bus (or tram)

Or in advance -  a scratch card version means you can buy your Kangaroo in advance for maximum ease of use (you simply scratch off that day’s date when you use it). It is available at Broadmarsh and Victoria  Bus stations, the NCT Travel Centre and Nottingham Tourist Information Centre, Beeston Train Station.
