Responsibility for the Enforcement of Parking Restrictions in Nottingham became the responsibility of the City Council on 1st October 2002.
Most of the Parking Restrictions can now be enforced by Civil Enforcement Officers working on behalf of the City Council. This includes Pay and Display bays, single/double yellow lines, Disabled bays, Taxi bays, Bus Stops and Bus Lanes.
The City Council also operates Vehicle Removals. Vehicles parked in contravention of Parking Restrictions may be removed and taken to the removal pound on Cattle Market Road.
Before you can collect your vehicle you will need to:-
1) Pay the Penalty Charge
2) Pay the Release Fee (£105)
3) Pay any storage costs (£12 per day following the initial day of removal)
4) Produce two means of identification from the following list:
- A recent utility bill (from within the last 3 months)
- Vehicle registration document
- Driving licence
- Bank statement
- Passport
In addition the claimant must have the key to open the vehicle.
