Disability Equality Scheme

Disabled people make up approximately 20% of Nottingham's diverse population. We are therefore proud to present our first Disability Equality Scheme (this document can be downloaded below).  It has been developed with "Involvement" of disability organisations and groups representing the wider community, as well as disabled employees.

The aim of this scheme is to promote disability equality and challenge discrimination by improving the opportunities for disabled people that socialise, study, work, and those who come to visit Nottingham.

A 3 year Action plan is currently being developed for implementation to achieve the aim of the Scheme.
