What is a Veteran? Why Should I Remember?
As part of Veterans Celebrations 2008, schools throughout the city were invited to take part in this years' Veteran's Day celebration schools competition: What is a Veteran? Why should I remember?
The aim was to produce a dvd, answering the question: What is a Veteran? Why should I remember?
On Wednesday 23 April, young people from patricipating schools, had an opportunity to interview Veterans at Wollaton Hall. They had a chance to speak with different types of Veterans, hear their personal stories and ask questions about their experiences. Their findings were used to produce their DVD.
This years winning school was Ellis Guilford School & Sports College.
The winning DVD was showcased at Wollaton Hall's Yard Gallery from 17 June - 13 July, as part of a wider What is a Veteran? Whay should I remember? exhibition.
