Large print books available by a wide selection of authors (all libraries)
- Stories on tape - wide range of titles, including novels, biographies and some factual titles (available at all libraries)
- Stories on CD - available at Central Library and some community libraries
- Language cassettes and CDs to help learn a foreign language.
Updates of new spoken word titles on cassette and CD are available on an occasional basis - contact Jane Brierley on 0115 915 2827, or e-mail jane.brierley@nottinghamcity.gov.uk including an e-mail address if you have one.
The Webwords web site (http://www.webwords.org/) has extracts from over 500 spoken word titles, and is a useful way of finding out if you like the style of a particular narrator/reader.
You may find the Revealweb site useful (http://www.revealweb.org.uk/)- it is a national listing of books and other items published in accessible formats. Titles on the Revealweb database may be available from your local library - please ask staff for details or consult our on-line catalogue, Nelib.

Join our reading chain for those with visual impairment and meet fellow reviewers every six months to compare notes.

In large Community libraries and the Central Library we have computers with large screens, tracker ball mice and large print keyboards. Supernova (screen enlargement software with facilties for reading screen text) is available on some computers in City libraries. Please ask staff for details.
In the Central Library on Floor 3, there is a CCTV to enable enlargement of your own papers and library materials. Please ask for help to use this machine on 0115 915 2811 or e-mail arts.library@nottinghamcity.gov.uk
